Lisa’s back with THE best tips to get you strutting like a catwalk queen this season.  Have a good read of this, and while you’re doing that, I’ll be getting myself one step head and shopping for the latest in Leopard Prints!   …..Enjoy! x My pick of the Autumn / Winter 2011 trends So what will we all be wearing this season?  I can see the biggest trends that will effect what we wear this season will be the 40’s, 60’s, Fur and the Leopard/Snake print. The 60’s style dresses combined with the fabrics will hold structure to any body shape, our bodies need structure to look stunning.  The bold prints of the 60’s are also creating a strong look. For the 40’s look we will be seen wearing longer length hemlines which mainly revolve around the shape of the pencil skirt and free flowing pleated skirts.  And for hats we will be seen wearing the gorgeous sexy small trilby hats in beautiful colours.  Add a skirt into your existing wardrobe and team it with a floral shirt from last season (floral is still on trend for Autumn/Winter too). Fur is back, whether it be shaggy or neat, we will see it on coats, gillets, jackets, cardi’s as sleeves, panels within and on the collars. You can always inject a bit of fur in the form of a handbag to bring this trend into your existing wardrobe. Fur is always seen as a luxurious fabric. The Leopard and snake print are huge this season in so many different forms from shirts, cardi’s a statement coat, shoes, handbags, gloves, belts, scarves and the list goes on.  To add this trend into your existing wardrobe you can add it in in either large or small doses.  A printed belt with a pair of jeans add so much interest and texture or add in a pair of shoes in either full leopard print or a pair that may have a small amount of this print in a wedge heel.  Lisa View high resolution

CLAY SALON NEWS - Client Runs London Marathon 2011

Clay client Wendy Yates runs the London Marathon this Sunday 17th April in aid of The Shooting Star Children’s Hospice

Superstar Clay client Wendy Yates is pulling out all the stops at this years London Marathon to raise money and awareness on behalf of The Shooting Star Children’s Hospice.  Shooting Star are now aligned with Chase and have had The Clay Team’s support since the business began.  We would like to take this opportunity to encourage you to help Wendy reach her goal of raising £2000 for the charity.

Wendy says;

“I am running the marathon for the first time to raise money for this fantastic cause.  The children this charity helps all have terminal medical conditions. Making their short lives and the lives of their families a little better is what I am trying to achieve.”

CLAY SALON NEWS - Welcome Stylist Matt Shaw

The Clay Team are delighted to welcome on board Matt Shaw formally of Monroe’s Cutting Co. in Leatherhead, Surrey  

Matt is bringing with him years of experience and a friendly attitude that will slide into place along side our other bubbly team members.  You better pick-up your phone and start dialling as Matt is well known in the local area and is already getting booked up for his official salon start date of Tuesday 3rd May.

The Clay Girls are at it again…  This very lucky blonde left the salon with a style fit for the wedding isle!  Their progression is endless and we for one are so proud to have these stunning girls onboard.  x

Transform Yourself …or at least let us do it for you!

“Due to adverse weather conditions (enter business name here) has been delayed/forced to close…”.  How many times have you heard that this week!??!

Unfortunately the snow spread as far and wide as Oxshott, Surrey this week, and indeed our beloved Clay Salon staff have all been snowed in …or snowed out as the case may be. 

But it seems even the forces of mother nature herself cannot stop this bunch in their creativity, as they continue to action every idea. 

The photo montage above shows styling guru Kim and Salon Director JD giving one lucky young lady a revamp to the max; from long blonde to the cutest brunette bob, this is just one of their recent adventures.

The Clay Staff are well versed in the expectations of Christmas spent in a world class salon, and fully understand that the entire population of Surrey will sure enough want to be looking cut, styled and glam for the holidays.

With this in mind I’m pleased to announced that the Clay Salon will be open EVERY Monday of December!  So get your appointments booked now before it’s too late..!
